Biles and Jonathan Owens met through a dating app in 2020 and started dating the same year. They made their relationship public with mushy updates on social media and then got engaged in 2022.

Simone Biles opened up about the significance of cheering for Jonathan Owens during his game
Simone Biles attends most Chicago Bears NFL games to cheer for Jonathan Owens. She showcases her support by wearing customized outfits with her husband's jersey number and name.
In a recent interview with Olympics.com, she spoke about what it means to cheer for her husband.
"Oh my gosh. It means the world to me. And I know it means so much to him for me to be able to go and support his games. For him, it means a lot for me to go on the sideline before because he says that's his pre-game routine. So he's always looking for me on the sideline to give him, like, good luck vibes and wishes. That's just his superstition," said Simone Biles.
She further spoke about her husband's personality before a game.
"Well, usually, you're not allowed to be with him the night before, so we sleep separately in the hotel. And then after that, he usually comes up, gives me a kiss goodbye. So, it's very ... He's so chill. He's relaxed. And that's also his personality. Not as stressed as me," Biles added.
Simone Biles, recently named SI's Sportsperson of the Year, shared a heartfelt message for Owens, extending her love and gratitude toward him. The 27-year-old had a smooth run in 2024 at the Paris Olympics, where she solidified her legacy by winning four medals, including three gold and one silver.
