After a brilliant show at the Paris Olympics, where she finished with three gold medals and a silver, Simone Biles is back to performing in the second season of the Gold over America Tour.
Conceptualized in 2019, and inaugurated in 2021, this event is a blend of gymnastics and musical performances that aims to popularize the sport throughout the United States of America and beyond. Interestingly, the idea behind naming this tour as the GOAT tour also has a connection with Simone Biles' status as the GOAT gymnast [The Greatest of All Time].
In a recent interview with Olympics.com, Simone Biles opened up on why this tour is necessary for her. In her words,
"Obviously, we wanted to share that story of 'it's okay to not be okay, but this one is the outcome of putting in that work, taking care of yourself, and where it gets you."
"It's just what happens after you take care of yourself and the success that brings, and so I think that's the exciting part about the story and what the show brings", Biles further added.
The Gold over America Tour has begun at Oceanside in California. 32 shows will be conducted under this tour across 30 cities, till November 3, when the tour will conclude at Little Caesars Arena in Detroit, Michigan.
