Simone Biles shared glimpses of her podium training ahead of the 2024 US Gymnastics Championships. She won the all-around with a score of 59.500 at the US Classic, which qualified her for the Nationals as the gold-winning favorite.

Simone Biles, 27, made her comeback at the 2023 US Classic, thus qualifying for the 2023 Nationals. At the 59th edition of the event, the seven-time Olympic medalist lifted her eighth national title. This achievement of Simone Biles broke the 90-year-old long-standing record by Al Jochim, who earned seven national titles, the last one in 1933.

The 2024 US Gymnastics Championships will be an opportunity for Biles to add a ninth national title to her list of laurels. Taking to her Instagram stories, the four-time Olympic gold medalist shared a boomerang amid her US Championships podium training. Donning a pink embellished leotard, she winked at the camera, waiting for her turn at the Dickies Arena in Texas.

She captioned the story with a winking emoji and that of a cluster of three yellow four-pointed stars.

The Xfinity US Gymnastics Championships are slated to be held from May 30 to June 2, 2024, serving as one of the springboard events for the 2024 Paris Olympics.

"I wasn’t as confident or as comfortable as I wanted to be" - Simone Biles on feeling petrified despite acing maneuvers

After she withdrew from the 2020 Tokyo Olympics on account of 'twisties', Simone Biles took a two-year-long break until she returned to the 2023 US Classic mat, not as much confident as she hoped to be. In an interview part of her Vanity Fair feature early in 2024, the Olympian spoke about feeling the adrenaline after long but also being petrified to compete.

"I felt like I was back in my element and it was exciting, but I was truly petrified. I had the training to back it up because we worked really hard, [but] I wasn’t as confident or as comfortable as I wanted to be.”

Despite that, she told Vanity Fair that going in front of the crowd, putting forth her vulnerable self, and competing was a 'win' for her even as a regular person, besides the podium golds.

In one of her recent Instagram stories, Biles had also showcased her lined-up footwear picks to carry to the 2024 National Championships. One of the pair was from Betsey Johnson Women's Sidny sneaker collection, covered with rhinestones. The gymnast picked a pair of red knee-high, embellished boots to match the vibe.
