Simone Biles sheds light on her plans for 2025

Simone Biles has shed light on her plans for 2025, saying she will be spending time relaxing, going on vacations, and giving back to the community. The year 2024 witnessed Biles redeeming herself at the Paris Olympics, as the American won three golds and one silver, four years after ruling herself out from multiple events in Tokyo due to ‘Twisties.’

In an interview this week, Simone Biles opened up about her plans for the 2025 year. She said (via E! Online),

“Besides relaxing and going on a couple of vacations with my husband, I really just trying to be involved in the community as much as I can as well as giving back.”

Biles has been actively involved with the ‘Friends of the Children’ organization as part of giving back to the community. In October 2024, she made a donation of $50,000 at a gala to support the cause.

In the interview, she also spoke about the highlight of her 2024 season. She said,

“Honestly, since my husband and I got married we’ve been doing long-distance. After the Olympics and my tour, I would say the highlight has been spending quality time with him for the first time in the longest time since we’ve been married. Just cherishing those times, moving into our house in Chicago, and making it our home.”

The Gold Over America Tour's second edition concluded on November 3 in Detroit Michigan after visiting 32 cities. Following that, Biles made an appearance cheering for her husband, Jonathan Owens, and his NFL team, the Chicago Bears, attending multiple games.

In her recent appearance on "The Kelly Clarkson Show," Simone Biles made her pick between enjoying a snowy or a tropical Christmas. She said,

“Tropical Christmas. I have to have it cold, I want snow. - No, absolutely not. I wanna be in a bathing suit. And we used to actually go away for Christmas to Belize. So like, yeah, my mom just got there on Monday, so…”

Following this, Clarkson asked if she was meeting her mother Nellie Biles who was visiting Belize:

“Are y'all meeting up?”

To which, the 23-time World Championships gold medalist responded,

“No, I'm gonna stay with my husband.”

It is worth noting that Simone Biles and her husband Jonathan Owens last went on a vacation back in February 2024 to Hawaii. Although the trip was for the wedding of Carolina Panthers linebacker Kamu Grugier-Hill and former soccer player Keely Amelia, the couple also enjoyed their getaway, sharing glimpses of it on Instagram.
