Simone Biles wrapped up 2024 with a short note of gratitude, posing with flowers and the Olympic medals she has accumulated throughout her career. The 27-year-old has won title after title since returning to the competition mat at the 2023 World Championships following a two-year hiatus.

Biles, the most decorated gymnast in history, made her mark with four gold medals and one bronze at the 2016 Rio Olympics.

In her second Olympic appearance, the Texas-native faced harrowing 'twisties' and could only take bronze in the balance beam and silver in the team all-around. She went on a two-year-long hiatus to address her mental health issues and returned to action in 2023, before making her Olympic return in Paris last year. With three golds and a silver, she extended her medal tally to 11.

On December 31, 2024, Biles rang in the new year with an Instagram photo featuring her Olympic medals and white roses. The 30-time World medalist lay on the floor with her 11 Olympic medals around her in a circle.

"Thank you 2024," the caption of her Instagram post read.

Returning from her two-year hiatus at the 2023 US Classic, she won the all-around competition alongside two more first place finishes. She followed that up by winning her eighth title at the National Championships, surpassing Al Jochim's record of seven (1933).

Simone Biles then won four gold medals at the 2023 World Championships before continuing her incredible run at the Paris Olympics where she became the most decorated American gymnast in Olympic history.

Since concluding her season at the Gold Over American Tour, the Olympian has been a constant supporter of her husband Jonathan Owens in his NFL matches.

Having spent Thanksgiving and Christmas on the NFL sidelines, cheering on Owens, Simone Biles looked forward to the latter's upcoming game and noted that the couple would go to bed before the ball drops at Times Square in New York City.

“Me and Jonathan were actually talking about it, and I'm like, ‘We'll probably be in bed before the ball drops anyways. And he said, ‘Don't worry, I'll get up. I'll set an alarm for 12 so I could kiss you,'" she said to People.

With 2024 in the books, Biles will set her focus on the 2025 gymnastics season and could compete in the World Championships that will take place in Jakarta in October.
