Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone speaks about her goals for Paris Olympics 2024

Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone showed her prowess in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics by registering a world record win in the 400m hurdles. She has her eye on achieving the same feat during the Paris Olympics and has revealed the importance of competing in the event to NBC News.

"I just want to be better than I was in Tokyo. Improve upon myself. Paris is a dream come true. The stores, the roads, the cafes, all of it, it's a dream," she said.

Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone has been dominant in almost all the races she has run in 2024. She also made a victorious comeback in her pet event, the 400m hurdles, at the Edwin Moses Legends Meet, clocking 52.70s.

She has also competed in shorter races this year. However, she has ruled out 200m and 400m from her list for the Olympics. The 24-year-old will next be seen vying for a spot in Paris at the US Olympic Trials, which are scheduled to be held from June 21-30.
