The Snowboard Big Air Chur World Cup marked the season opening of the 2024/25 calendar. The inaugural event was scheduled for Saturday, October 19, 2024, in Chur, Switzerland.
The race to earn the Crystal Globe will continue for the next four steps, where multiple Olympians, world champions, and FIS World Cup winners will face each other.
The next halts of the 2024/25 season are slated from November 30 to December 1, 2024, in Beijing, the People's Republic of China, January 3 to 5, 2025 in Klagenfurt, Austria, January 9 to 11, 2025 in Kreischberg, Austria, February 5 and 6, 2025 in Aspen, USA and March 11 to 14, 2025 in Tignes, France.
Results for the Snowboard Big Air Chur World Cup 2024
Fukada Mari of Japan dominated the women's category in the Snowboard Big Air event by collecting a whopping 181.50 points. She was followed by her fellow Olympian teammate and three-time Winter X Games medalist Iwabuchu Reira, who posted 167.50 points.
Canadian snowboarder Laurie Blouin settled behind the Japanese duo after registering 163.00 points. The men's Snowboard Big Air category in Chur was led by Mari's fellow teammate and 2023 FIS World Champion and Crystal Globe winner Hasegawa Taiga, collecting 177.25 points.
He surpassed Rocco Jamieson and Romain Allemand, who listed 163.50 and 158.00 points, respectively. The results for the men and women categories at the 2024 Snowboard Big Air Chur World Cup are given below:
