Noah Lyles, popular for his vibrant fashion sense, carries a briefcase at all his track events. Recently, he even posed in Hawaiian style with Jaydon Hibbert with a briefcase, before his Racers Grand Prix stint. However, he refused to reveal the contents of his bag and wished to keep the suspension alive until the Olympic Trials.

Lyles, 26, won the 100m, 200m, and 4x100m relay at the 2023 World Championships, the second athlete to achieve the feat after track great Usain Bolt. Since then, he maintained his win streak as the second-fastest 200m sprinter in the world standings.

Coming into 2024, Lyles' impressive 60m, 100m, and 150m performances cemented his name as one of the top seeds of the Paris Olympics. At the USATF NYC Grand Prix, he opened his 200m season and attained a comfortable victory in 19.77s. With Bolt's 19.19s record in mind, Lyles is in anticipation of the three golds at the Paris Olympics.

The American is well known for his dramatically painted nails and aerodynamic hairdo. His box-braided hairstyle is to minimize wind resistance, as he told Olympics.com. But the briefcase he carries in every meet garnered the most attention since the contents inside it are still unknown.

In an interview with Digital Journal, Lyles mentioned that he would reveal the 'secret' contents of his briefcase at the 2024 US Olympic Trials when asked about it.

"Something special is in there… you guys will find out at the USAs."

At the 2024 World Athletics Relays, Noah Lyles competed in the 4x100m relays with his US teammates. Securing the win, the team secured a seat at the Paris Olympics.

"They’re the first spark" - Noah Lyles on his popular walk-ins before the races

Since the past year, Noah Lyles has been turning millions of heads for his standout fashion statement. Fashion and athletics are two different concepts but Lyles has successfully strung them together. He has publicized iconic walk-ins where the athletes enter the arena getting photographed in their athletic wear.

He believed that track fashion needed to have a platform, which led him to launch the Instagram page, '@trackandfits'. He drew inspiration from the @nbafashionfits, which features NBA players indulging in glamorous walk-ins before the match.

In a 2024 interview with Dazed Digital, the six-time world champion talked about his endeavor to help track athletes gain exposure.

"This is just one small piece of the puzzle. If you’re doing a fireworks show, you can’t start with the finale. You have to build up to it. Some people might think of the walk-ins as the finale, but for me they’re the first spark."
