Noah Lyles made his 2025 season debut in the 60m at the Radd Invitational in Florida. The American athlete dominated the line-up to clinch the victory in the Indoor 60m with a performance of 6.62s.
Lyles had withdrawn from the 4x100m relay at the Paris Olympics after testing positive for COVID, ultimately concluding his 2024 season. After taking a couple of weeks off, the American athlete returned to the track to train for the upcoming season and has often shared glimpses of his training sessions with fans on social media.
As athletes around the world gear up for major events in the Indoor season, Lyles competed in his first event of 2025 in Florida and won the gold medal in the 60m despite having a slow start and trailing behind in the initial moments of the race. Noah Lyles' performance in the previous Indoor season
Noah Lyles began his Indoor season in 2024 at the New Balance Indoor Grand Prix. Primarily competing in the 100m and the 200m, the 60m event was a huge transition for the Americans in the Olympic year. He won the National Indoor Championship after defeating Christian Coleman with a personal best of 6.43s.
He then marched on to the World Athletics Indoor Championships where he competed in the 60m and finished second behind Christian Coleman with a performance of 6.44s. This was the American athlete's first World Indoor Championship medal.
Moreover, Noah Lyles was named as a member of the men's 4x400m relay team at the World Athletics Indoor Championships. The team 3:02.60 to ultimately win the silver medal.
