Right from the beginning of her professional career in 2019 as an unsigned athlete to working multiple jobs to sustain and achieve her dream, she has seen it all. The athlete signed a deal with Adidas in 2020 and went on to improve her performance leading up to the Paris Olympics. Right before the Paris Olympics, Brown announced that she had signed a contract with Nike.

The 29-year-old won the bronze medal in the women's 200m at the Paris Olympics. After concluding her season, she took to Instagram to reflect on her struggles as well as shed light on the incredible organization at the inaugural edition of Athlos NYC.

"This meet was indescribable. To be treated like a professional athlete, to be treated like a professional female athlete. From the prize money to the goodie bags, to how the staff treated and spoke to us, it was all amazing. I am honored and feel very privlefged to be in this sport at this time where we are getting back to investing in the athletes," she wrote.
" I started off my professional career in 2019 unsigned working multiple jobs. I never thought that 33 seconds would allow me to walk away with this much prize money," she added.

Moreover, she thanked Alexis Ohanian and Athlos NYC for providing her with such an incredible opportunity.

Brittany Brown spoke about winning $85,000 at Athlos NYC after winning the gold medal in the 200m and finishing second in the 100m. The American athlete compared it to the prize money awarded at the Diamond Leagues and expressed how the prize money allocated to the winner would have been less than what she made at Athlos NYC.

"In 33 seconds I made some pro track and field athletes base shoe contract. Do you understand that ? Even if wouldve won both the 100 and 200 at the DL final I still wouldn’t have made the amount of money I made last night. INVESTMENT."

Furthermore, she expressed her desire to invest more in track and field to make it a global sport appealing to the masses.
