"Stephen Nedoroscik didn’t really have that musicality"- Rylee Arnold weighs in on the gymnast's work ethic as she reflects on DWTS season

Stephen Nedoroscik and Rylee Arnold were one of the most popular pairs on season 33 of Dancing With The Stars. The duo made it all the way to the finals, and Arnold recently opened up about her dance partner's work ethic.

Nedoroscik first rose to fame during the Paris Olympics, when he helped Team USA clinch the bronze medal with a fantastic performance on the pommel horse. A few days later, he would go on to win an individual bronze medal in the same event. The gymnast's exploits at the Games saw his popularity skyrocket outside of the sporting world.

After the Olympics, Nedoroscik appeared on DWTS paired alongside Rylee Arnold. While the American initially struggled in the opening weeks, he quickly got better, leading to him and Arnold finishing fourth in the finals. Recently, Arnold praised the gymnast's work ethic in an appearance on The Squeeze podcast, calling him the ‘perfect student’.

“He worked so hard, he had the best work ethic. He would literally go home after every single rehearsal, watch videos, he would learn from videos. He was just the most perfect student. We had so much fun and it was so cool to create with him because he was so able,” she said (at 36:18).

She went on to add that while Nedoroscik struggled with musicality, his athletic strength was a major plus point.

“He wasn't a dancer, he didn’t really have that musicality because he never really worked with music before, but he was so athletic and able to do basically anything I asked him to. So it was actually so fun, literally I'm like ‘this is probably one of my favorite seasons ever for like my whole life cuz it was just so so awesome’.”

After struggling in their initial weeks on season 33 of Dancing With The Stars, Stephen Nedoroscik and Rylee Arnold quickly found their rhythm. The pair delivered multiple impressive performances, achieving a high score of 30 out of 30 for their freestyle dance to Viva La Vida in the finals.

Nedoroscik and Arnold recently reunited for the Dancing With The Stars Tour. Arnold took to her Instagram to share a video of herself and the gymnast dancing together, and captioned it,

“Next stop for us is TOUR BUS! We can't wait to start tour!!!”

On the Dancing With The Stars Tour, Stephen Nedoroscik will join the cast as the co-host, while Arnold is one of the pro dancers. The tour is scheduled to begin on Thursday, January 7.
