The couple celebrated New Year's Eve with a mix of adventure and relaxation at the beach. Arnold caught the eye with her impressive football-catching skills, as she deftly snagged a long throw from Lyons.

She shared the video on her Instagram story with her fans and wrote a caption:

Walker Lyons, a tight end for the USC Trojans football team, met Rylee Arnold through a series of serendipitous events. During an Uber ride, Arnold's driver- who happened to be Lyons' aunt- mentioned that Arnold and her nephew might get along well. She even suggested Arnold to look him up on Instagram.

Though initially intrigued, the professional dancer was too busy with her Dancing with the Stars to follow up. A week later, one of her sisters shared a TikTok video of Lyons in their family group chat, playfully suggesting he could be a good match. This jogged her memory, prompting her to revisit the idea.

In October 2024, Rylee Arnold, Stephen Nedoroscik's Dancing with the Stars partner, opened up about her relationship with Walker Lyons, sharing how it began with texting and was fueled by mutual connections and coincidental introductions. She described feeling both excited and nervous, noting how well their personalities seemed to align even before they met in person.

"I have never met him before, but we have a lot of mutuals, which (are) interesting coincidences, and then we've just been texting a lot lately, and so I actually get to meet him tonight. I'm feeling nervous, but I'm also really excited because we've been having a good time talking and texting. I feel like our personalities match really well already," she told People magazine.

Stephen Nedoroscik and Rylee Arnold are set to take part in the DWTS: Live 2025 show, with the Olympic medalist co-hosting the event starting January 7th. Arnold, a standout performer on Dancing with the Stars, will join him as one of the elite dancers featured in the live performances.
