Stephen Nedoroscik shares glimpses of New Year celebrations with girlfriend Tess McCracken and cat Kyushu

Stephen Nedoroscik and his girlfriend Tess McCracken posed with their cat Kyushu to wish fans a happy holiday and ring in the New Year. McCracken and Kyushu were in California when the Olympian performed at Dancing With the Stars.

Nedoroscik recorded an impressive 2024 season, nabbing bronze podiums in the team and pommel horse competitions at the Paris Olympics. He carried the same dedication at the DWTS where he was paired with professional dancer Rylee Arnold and finished fourth in the finals.

Days later, on December 31, 2024, the Olympian and his girlfriend, who have been together since college, posed with Olympic medals around their necks in an adorable Instagram post to ring in the New Year. They also held little Kyushu in their arms and put a paw-themed medal around its neck.

Nedoroscik's girlfriend, also a Penn State alum, was a member of the college gymnastics team. The couple first met at the athlete orientation of their college in 2017.

Sharing how their romance sparked, Tess McCracken once said:

"We recognized each other from the competition world but didn’t speak much until we were paired up for a personality questionnaire and later saw each other on the first day of classes." (via Today)

Talking about their cat Kyushu, Stephen Nedoroscik's girlfriend once said that the little one was named after Kitakyushu, a city in Japan where the Olympian won his first World gold medal.

"He’s named after Kitakyushu, Japan, where he won his gold medal at the World Championships. We hang out with him, and we have a screened-in patio that we all hang out in." (via Today)

Stephen Nedoroscik has a gold medal from the 2023 Pan American Games, winning gold with the US gymnastics team.

The 33rd season of Dancing With the Stars aired from September 17 to November 26, 2024, but the contestants were busy shooting for the reality show. Coming into the spotlight, Stephen Nedoroscik was always spotted with his dance partner Rylee Arnold, rehearsing and performing with her.

Despite that, the 26-year-old revealed that his relationship wasn't hampered because of the couple's mutual effort, as per Shawn and Mendes podcast.

"She was able to fly out and live with me in LA for this amazing experience. We were also able to bring our kitty... We pretty much just took our normal life and brought it to LA and although I might be busy for 6 hours, 10 hours a day, whatever happens like we are still us and we still have our relationship, we make everything work," Stephen Nedoroscik said [21:01 onwards]

His Olympic bronze medal in the pommel horse event made him the fourth American man to win an Olympic medal on the apparatus since World War II.
