American track sensation Gabby Thomas recently opened up on her experience at the Council of Fashion Designers of America/Vogue Fashion Fund Awards. She attended the event as a presenter, where the likes of Winnie Harlow, David Beckham, and his wife Victoria Beckham, were also in attendance.
Following her exploits at the Paris Olympics where she achieved three gold medal victories in the 200m, 4x100m, and 4x400m events, Thomas has become a well-known figure worldwide. After concluding her track season, she has been busy attending numerous fashion events, including the New York Fashion Week, and was also spotted at various non-athletics sporting events, such as WNBA.
Thomas recently featured at the Council of Fashion Designers of America/Vogue Fashion Fund Awards and talked about her experience at the event. Before getting into the details, she said that fashion designer Carolina Herrera and Vogue's editor-in-chief, Anna Wintour, selected the primarily black slit dress for her to wear during the event. After returning from the event, she shared her thoughts in a TikTok video, saying,
“I just got back from presenting at the CFDA Vogue Fashion Fun Awards. Carolina Herrera and Anna Wintour herself pick this dress out for me to wear after seeing it in the New York Fashion Week. But essentially, I was presenting the awards for the new and upcoming designers in fashion. It's kind of like rookie of the year in the sports world, but for fashion.”
“I had so much fun stepping outside of my comfort zone a little bit, and all of the designers were incredible. Everybody involved were involved. I mean, the creativity and skill and dedication that goes into what they do is amazing," she added.
Gabby Thomas shares how she likes to keep balance in her wardrobe
Gabby Thomas opened up on how she liked to have a balanced wardrobe, mixing athletic wear with dresses that show off her feminine side. In an interview with Self.com in September 2024, she said:
“I keep a healthy balance in my wardrobe: I love a stylish athleisure moment (like a matching set with a cool New Balance collab sneaker) that shows my sporty and fun side or a stunning dress for a night out that shows my feminine side. Putting on something that makes me feel strong and beautiful is an instant confidence booster.”
Additionally, the Harvard graduate shared details about her skincare routine and her current obsession with CeraVe Vitamin C Serum and Summer Fridays Shade Drops SPF 30 Mineral Milk Sunscreen during the interview.
