"Still got a job to finish" - Tara Davis-Woodhall's husband Hunter Woodhall geared up for Paralympics following wife's gold medal win at Paris Olympic

Hunter Woodhall is poised to compete in his third Paralympic games in Paris after his wife Tara Davis-Woodhall's gold medal win at the Paris Olympics. The 2024 Paralympic Games are scheduled to commence on August 28. He shared a motivational note days ahead of the event, sharing how he was geared up to race in the 100m T64 and 400m T62 dashes.

Davis-Woodhall clinched gold after her stellar performance in the 2024 Summer Games. The 25-year-old jumped a distance of 7.10m, beating the defending champion Malaika Mihambo who jumped 6.98m. Following this win, her husband is now ready to continue his Paris Paralympics quest.

Woodhall delivered stellar performances in the US Paralympic trials to book his berth in Paris. He qualified for the event after he stood atop the podium in the men's T62 100m, clocking 10.78s. His closest competitor on the track was David Prince who clocked 11.03s. Woodhall also broke the American record by clocking 10.75s in the heats of the 100m at the trials.

Following this, he also qualified for the T62 400m, where he clocked 46.09s, beating Blake Leeper and Lucas Jundt, who clocked 48.00s and 54.04s, respectively.

Woodhall recently shared a glimpse from his training sessions on the track ahead of the Games, with the caption:

"Paralympics incoming[.] We still got a job to finish."

Hunter Woodhall shared a note of pride and love for his wife, Olympic long jump champion Tara Davis-Woodhall, after her gold medal win in Paris. He shared a picture of them standing in front of the Eiffel Tower and added a note crediting her work ethic and hard work:

"No words to describe how proud of you I am," wrote Woodhall. "No luck involved, you earned this. Discipline, work ethic, and grit. These are the moments and this is your moment. Soak it in❤️"

Woodhall's first event at the Paris Paralympic Games 2024 is on September 1 in the men's 100m T64 heats, and if he qualifies from the heat, he will be running in the final of the event on September 2. His 400m T62 heats will be held on September 6, 2024.
