Suni Lee reacted to her fans dressed as her Olympian self for Halloween. The 21-year-old extended her Olympic medal tally to six at the 2024 Paris Olympics after missing out on major competitions in 2023 due to health issues.
Lee won the all-around champion's title at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics and finished with the all-around bronze behind Simone Biles in the 2024 edition. In the team competition, the Minnesota native won the team silver in Tokyo and redeemed the gold with the US gymnastics women's team in Paris.
Ahead of Halloween, Lee received fans' love as two of her followers dressed as her in gymnastic wear with Olympic medals around their necks.
Lee was amazed by the gesture and took to her Instagram story to share the first post and wrote:
"omg stopppp this is too good."
A man dressed as Lee's fellow Olympian Stephen Nedoroscik also posed alongside the girl dressed as the 21-year-old.
Stephen Nedorsocik, dubbed 'the pommel horse guy', anchored his team to the first team medal since the 2008 Games and clinched the individual bronze in the equipment. His achievement in the individual competition made him the fourth gymnast to medal in the event since World War II.
Suni Lee's following story featured a fan dressed as her in a red jewel-studded leotard. The girl in the story, who seemingly resembled the Olympian, sprinkled some powder in her palms, clapped, and transitioned to Lee's Olympic moment.
"omg this ateee," she wrote admiring the leotard.
The six-time Olympic medalist has been busying herself with several off-mat activities. She recently attended the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show and met K-pop icon Lalisa in person.
Suni Lee expressed an interest in pursuing fashion
Suni Lee, like Simone Biles, designs her leotards for her gymnastic competitions. Following her Olympic success, she donned Tommy Hilfiger-designed monochrome outfits to grace the New York Fashion Week and attended the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show days later.
In an interview with Glamour magazine, Lee expressed her desire to pursue fashion when asked to describe herself.
"She’s fun, she’s energetic, outgoing, very brave. But not a lot of people see that, and it’s something that I want to expand on more. I think fashion can be a really good way to express yourself.” Seems like a perfect fit!" reported by Inside Gymnastics.
The three-time World medalist received the Glamour's Women of the Year honor alongside greats like Serena Williams, Allyson Felix, and others.
