Suni Lee was in attendance at Kim Kardashian's star-studded New York City party as she launched a flagship store of her co-founded clothing brand Skims. Lee modeled for the brand earlier this year when Kardashian launched a patriotic line for the 2024 Paris Olympics and Paralympics, becoming Team USA's official underwear sponsor for the second time.
Kardashian co-founded the brand with business power couples Jens and Emma Grede in late 2019. Following its increasing popularity in the last few years, the company is valued at over $4 billion in 2024. The reality star has now opened a flagship store of the brand at 647 Fifth Avenue in New York City.
Following the opening of the store, Kardashian held a star-studded party which was also attended by two-time Olympian Suni Lee. The American gymnast was elated to join the event, and sharing her feelings afterward in an Instagram story, Lee called it the 'best night'.
"best night with @skims @kimkardashian💛💛," she wrote
Lee modeled for Skims alongside several US Olympians earlier this year as the company extended its partnership as Team USA's official underwear sponsor for the quadrennial event. The 21-year-old is also a long-time fan of the brand's clothing line.
“As a long-time SKIMS fan, partnering with them for this campaign has been a dream come true. I’m so lucky that I get to experiment with my style while competing, but when I’m not in the gym I still want to look and feel great. I love that SKIMS delivers on comfort, flexibility, and style," she told Fault Magazine after Skims photoshoot.
Suni Lee was named one of Glamour's Women of the Year 2024
Suni Lee was named among one of eight Glamour's Women of The Year 2024 honorees including Serena Williams and Allyson Felix, following an inspiring comeback at the 2024 Paris Olympics.
Lee battled two kidney diseases in 2023 and remained largely out of competition before making a comeback at the 2024 American Classic. The 21-year-old was doubtful of her participation in the Olympics at the start of the year but eventually qualified for her second Games.
The Tokyo all-around champion led the USA to the gold medal in the team competition before winning two bronze medals in the all-around and uneven bars finals. While Lee hasn't guaranteed a return at the 2028 L.A. Olympics, she is very likely to compete with age by her side as well.
