After qualifying for the 2024 Paris Olympics, Suni Lee acknowledged that she was severely affected by the injuries which Kayla DiCello, Skye Blakely and Shilese Jones sustained during the time of the U.S. Olympic Gymnastics Trials. Blakely injured her Achilles during podium training and Jones tore her ACL and meniscus while warming up.

She opened up about how her fellow gymnasts' injuries impacted her which led to her seeking support from a therapist. In an interview with Olympics.com, Lee added:

"This week, like having all of the injuries have been... it was really hard on my mental health. I had to meet with my therapist yesterday and try and get my mind right because it was just so devastating to see a couple of my friends get taken out of this huge competition. My heart is with them. It's been so, so insane this week.”

Although the injuries ruled DiCello, Blakely and Jones out of the Paris Olympics, Lee booked her place in the USA team for the Paris Olympics with an impressive second place finish in the women’s all-around at the trials.

Lee was remarkable at this year’s quadrennial games, winning three medals, including a gold in the team all-around and two bronze in the individual all-around and uneven bars.
