Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone flaunted her New Balance foam shoes and accessories amidst gearing up for track legend Michael Johnson's Grand Slam Track. She was one of the first athletes to be selected for participation in the event.

The Grand Slam Track is slated to be held in 2025, and McLaughlin-Levrone is expected to compete in two events. The American athlete recently concluded her Paris Olympics campaign with two gold medals, which she clinched in the 400m hurdles and the 4x400m relay events. She stood atop the podium in the former event by clocking a world record of 50.37s and trouncing Anna Cockrell and Femke Bol, who claimed second and third place, respectively.

The 25-year-old won another gold in the 4x400m relay, where she and her team, which included Gabby Thomas, Alexis Holmes, and Shamier Little, recorded an American record of 3:15.27. Following this, she wrapped up her 2024 season by competing in the special races of the Brussels Diamond League Finals, which were organized by the authorities, since she wasn't eligible to run in the finals of the event.

Weeks after this, Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone, who is busy preparing for the Grand Slam Track, shared a picture of her grey-colored New Balance Fresh Foam X 1080 shoes and a tote bag with 'Run your way' written on it, on her Instagram story. The athlete also did a complete shoot for her profile to be presented in the Grand Slam Track.

Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone exuded excitement to compete in two events at the Grand Slam Track

After Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone was done with her races at the Brussels Diamond League Finals, she was asked about her participation in the Grand Slam Track in the post-race interview. The American hurdler said that it would be "fun" for her to compete in two events and witness the growth of athletics. She also admitted that she was excited to be a part of this meet.

“Yeah, I think it'll be fun. Honestly, being able to do two events and kind of just challenge yourself also using some of those as training blocks, I think it's just going to be really cool to see that dynamic and see the sport grow in popularity. So, I'm excited to be a part of that in any way," said Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone.

She also opened up about the possibility of running in the 200m and 400m instead of the 400m hurdles and 400m at the Grand Slam Track.

"It's always a possibility absolutely. So, I think yeah that's the exciting thing is I'm blessed with the ability kind of to switch some of these events and do different things and so yeah love challenging myself that's definitely a possible duo right there.”

The Grand Slam Track will host four meets in a year, and the athletes will be allowed to compete in two events per meet.
