Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone reflects on her introduction to skincare
Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone shared in an interview with Byrdie.com the person who introduced her to skincare. It was her older sister, Morgan McLaughlin, whose skincare products Sydney found while growing up. This exposure to skincare eventually became a passion for her. She said:
“My sister is five years older than me, so my first encounter with skincare was a lot of her products that I found in the bathroom growing up. Watching her go through some of the ebbs and flows of figuring out what worked for her skin, it became a passion.”
In the same interview, McLaughlin-Levrone also discussed her skin type, adding:
“I have pretty dry skin. There's [often] a little bit of flaking. So, I have to be extra cautious about that, and then make sure [my skin] is properly hydrated.”
Notably, McLaughlin-Levrone, who turned 25 this month, is also the brand ambassador of Neutrogena, an American organization that manufactures cosmetics, skincare, and hair care. The company signed the four-time Olympic gold medalist as its ambassador in September 2023.
