Reigning Olympic champion Tara Davis-Woodhall recently announced a major update in her lifestyle after moving to Kansas. Davis-Woodhall and her husband Hunter Woodhall were announced as assistant coaches at Kansas State University, which led to their relocation.

The duo were appointed the assistant track and field coaches at Kansas State University while Tara's Paris Olympics campaign was still underway. Their coach, Travis Geopfert, had assumed the role of Director of K-State Track and Field/Cross Country and brought the couple on board.

Davis Woodhall shared that the move to Kansas was influenced by Geopfert's new position, as they wanted to train under him to prepare for the 2028 LA Olympics.

"Hunter and I thought it was best to follow him and continue our track career because we want to go to L.A. Olympics 2028. I like the country, I like not being in a big city — it's not my thing," she said.

Now, in a recent update, Tara Davis-Woodhall shared on her Threads account that she was parting ways with her Tesla and asked fans to suggest some new wheels.

"I’m getting rid of my Tesla. What car should I get?" she wrote

The couple made waves at this year's Paris Olympics and Paralympics by claiming the first gold medals of their respective track and field careers. First, in August, Davis-Woodhall dethroned Germany's defending champion in the long jump event at the Paris Olympics, Malaika Mihambo, with a leap of 7.10 m to claim her career's first Olympic medal.

Then in September, Hunter reigned supreme at the Paralympics, winning the men's 400m T62 final with a time of 46.36 seconds, securing his career's first gold medal. He then went on to win a bronze in the mixed 4x100m relay to take his overall Paralympic Games tally to five medals.

"I'm thrilled to have Tara joining us at K-State. To say that she brings the energy is an understatement," he said. "I've loved coaching this young woman for the last three years and to bring her elite level experience to Manhattan is absolutely invaluable. She knows what it takes to be great, and she also fully understands the challenges of what life is like as both a student-athlete and as a professional athlete."

He also extended a warm welcome to Hunter Woodhall and added:

"Her mentorship of these young student athletes is going to expedite their careers to an elite level in dramatic fashion. So excited to have TDW and her husband Hunter joining us in Manhattan!"

Tara Davis-Woodhall and Hunter Woodhall were recently honored by Arkansas Track and Field for their achievements at the Paris Summer Games.
