Tara Davis-Woodhall and husband Hunter share a major update as they bid adieu to Arkansas after the Paris Olympics

Tara Davis-Woodhall and her husband, paralympic athlete Hunter Woodhall, have taken a big step weeks after their Paris Olympics glories. The couple recently concluded their seasons with gold medals in their respective events.

Amid the Paris Olympics, Davis-Woodhall was appointed as an assistant coach for Kansas State University Athletics. Having taken some time away from the track and field after their dominant victories at the Paris Games, the couple shared a big update about their lives on Instagram. They shared a series of pictures and videos in an Instagram post, announcing their move from Arkansas to Kansas, which was mentioned in the location tag of the post.

One picture shows both of them posing in front of a big pile of boxes in their new house. There are also videos and pictures from the garden and pictures of their pets playing in different parts of the new home. The caption of the post read,

"We're not in Arkansas anymore💔🥹 "

Tara Davis-Woodhall proved her billing as a formidable athlete in the long jump event, as she jumped 7.10m to clinch her first gold medal. She beat out the defending champion Malaika Mihambo and Jasmine Moore, who recorded 6.98m and 6.96m, securing second and third place, respectively. On the other hand, Woodhall competed in three events, the mixed 4x100m universal relay, men's 400m T62, and men's 100m T64.

He won two medals, one gold and one bronze. He won gold in the 400m T62, where he clocked 46.36s, defeating Johannes Floors and Olivier Hendriks, who recorded 46.90s and 46.91s, to claim second and third place, respectively. He won a bronze medal in the mixed 4x100m universal relay, where he and his team registered a time of 47.32s and were defeated by China and Great Britain, who secured first and second place, respectively.


Tara Davis-Woodhall on new position at Kansas State University

Soon after the announcement of her appointment as assistant athletics coach, Tara David-Woodhall appeared on "The Game on 1350 KMAN" podcast on August 22, where she spoke about her new role. She said:

"I'm blessed to be able to, you know, be in these moments, you know, win Olympic gold. That's really crazy. But I think it's even, you know, more inspiring for myself to become a K-State coach; I feel like I have a lot of knowledge and experience."

The official announcement about Davis-Woodhall joining the Kansas team was made by the director of track and field/cross country and former coach of the 25-year-old, Travis Geopfert. He said,

"She knows what it takes to be great, and she also fully understands the challenges of what life is like as both a student-athlete and as a professional athlete. Her mentorship of these young student athletes is going to expedite their careers to an elite level in dramatic fashion."

Davis-Woodhall was appointed to the position of athletics assistant coach at Kansas State University amid her Paris Olympics 2024 campaign.
