Tara Davis-Woodhall recently reacted to couples Halloween costume inspired by her and American non-binary runner, Nikki Hiltz. Both the athletes wrapped up their respective seasons after competing at the Paris Olympics in August.
Davis-Woodhall had a successful campaign in the 2024 Summer Games, where she won the first Olympic gold medal of her career in the long jump event. She took a leap of 7.1m in her fourth attempt and trounced the defending champion, Malaika Mihambo, who claimed second position after the win.
Nikki Hiltz also competed in the 2024 Summer Games, where she qualified for the 1500m finals after claiming a third-place finish in the event. Following this, she fell short of earning a podium finish and secured a seventh-place finish with a time of 3:56.38.
Weeks after concluding their Olympic campaigns in Paris, the athletes are now in a spooky mood with Halloween around the corner. A track and field enthusiast shared some Halloween costume ideas for runners on Instagram, among which one couple's costume was inspired by both Davis-Woodhall and Hiltz. The costume was their track and field kits and a locket with best friends written on it.
Tara Davis-Woodhall re-shared this post on her Instagram story and reacted to the costume, saying:
"I DARE YALL"

These two track and field athletes are very good friends, and they proved their bond when the long jump athlete stood in support for the runner when she spoke about her non-binary concerns.
Tara Davis-Woodhall extended her support to non-binary runner Nikki Hiltz
In March 2024, Nikki Hiltz took to her Instagram stories to make her fans understand the real meaning of non-binary and suggested they respect everyone's choices. Along with this, she also opened up about her professional choices and why she runs in the nonbinary division.
"To anyone who may also have a 3.5 year old who is curious/ to any new followers: nonbinary to me simply means I don't identify as a man or a woman. I exist somewhere in between/ beyond those binaries. Genderfluid is another term I've often used to describe my gender. I use they/them as my pronouns," wrote Nikki Hiltz.
Opening about running in the female division, she added:
“I am also a professional runner. I compete in the female elite division because I've been competing in that division for my entire track and field career. World Athletics also doesn't recognize an elite nonbinary division so therefore there is no nonbinary division for me to compete in.”
Following this, Tara Davis-Woodhall rallied in support of Hiltz and re-posted the latter's update on her Instagram story. She echoed her thoughts and also asked the fans to respect her decision.
“This is my friend Nikki! They're the best and you should respect them! If you don't respect them.. then GTFO MY PAGE!! I won't tolerate anything but love and respect," wrote Tara Davis-Woodhall.
Not just Tara Davis-Woodhall, Hiltz also supported the long jump athlete when she opened up about her mental health journey.
