Tara Davis-Woodhall reacts to her husband Hunter's 100m performance at World Para Athletics Championships 2024

Tara Davis-Woodhall reacted to her husband Hunter winning silver in the T64 100m dash at the ongoing 2024 World Para Athletics Championships. In the 2023 World Championships, Hunter was denied the 400m race due to an equipment malfunction, giving Tara more reasons to rejoice after the current podium.

During their senior years of high school, the couple met at an Idaho track meet. Both landed from their respective hometowns and were warming up to enter their races when their eyes met. On their official YouTube channel, Hunter recalled that it was a love at first sight for him.

The couple have had Olympic stints already. Tara Davis-Woodhall finished seventh in the women's long jump at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, while Hunter earned three medals at his 2016 and 2020 Olympic appearances. However, the latter missed out on the 400m at the 2023 World Championships while his wife won the silver medal in the corresponding World Championships in Budapest.

On her husband's recent T64 100m win at the Worlds on May 20, Tara Davis-Woodhall couldn't contain her excitement, sharing how well he performed on the track to make his comeback.

"So proud of my husband! first championship back and kicking a**," the 25-year-old long jumper tweeted.

This performance came after his record-breaking strides at the US Paralympics Track & Field National Championships, where Hunter broke the T62 100m American record.

The previous time of 11.04s was set by him in 2021, which he lowered to 11.00s. He also contested in the T62 400m to stop the clock in 48.04s.

Tara Davis-Woodhall is a proud wife, always celebrating her husband's achievements.

At the 2024 US Paralympics Track and Field National Championships, Hunter Woodhall earned two titles in the 100m and T62 400m. To celebrate, the reigning indoor long jump world champion resorted to her Instagram handle to write:

"Proud of you, champ. To watch your learn and grow is unbelievable. You are the best to ever do it! & doing it with joy. That's what I’m most proud of. Just out there having fun, and runnin’ fast. Let’s go further"

She paired the caption with a series of loved-up photos of them on the track and two of Hunter alone.
