Tara Davis-Woodhall and Hunter Woodhall first crossed paths at a track meet in Pocatello, Idaho 2017. The former made the first move, stepping onto the track and embracing the Paralympian. Hunter Woodhall shared the incident with GQ Sports on December 4, 2024, saying:

"I'd just finished a 400 meter and Tara walked up on the track and said, "I don't know why, but I feel like I need to give you a hug." And she gave me a hug and that's how it started." (0:34)

The couple began dating in 2017 and has pulled off a long-distance relationship based on trust and communication for four years. They eventually tied the nuptial knot in 2022 at D'Vine Grace Vineyard in McKinney, Texas.

Since their dating phase, the Woodhalls have also been uploading content on their YouTube channel while balancing their track careers. Often spotted taking hilarious jabs at each other, Tara Davis-Woodhall and Hunter Woodhall recently graced the GQ Sports' 'couple quiz' set-up.

One of the questions read:

"What was your favorite thing about the Olympic Village?"

In response, the long jumper comically shared that her husband departing from the Olympic Village was her favorite thing.

"My favorite thing about the Olympic Village was probably you leaving."

As both erupted in laughter, the Paralympian commented:

"Dude, that was the right answer"

After celebrating her maiden Olympic gold win with her husband, she cheered on the latter at the Paris Paralympics as Hunter Woodhall also won his maiden gold in the 400m T62.

The couple has been turning heads with their adorable camaraderie on and off the track. Now coached by Travis Geopfert, the couple stays and trains together in Kansas. But there was a time when the Paralympian was an Arkansas resident and the long jumper stayed a 13-hour drive away in Georgia.

In a 'couples quiz' arrangement by GQ Sports, the five-time Olympic medalist narrated his wife's favorite long-distance date story of him driving 13 hours only to deliver a bunch of sunflowers to her.

"One time when Tara was at Georgia, I was in Arkansas and I took a 13 hour drive because Tara texted me and said she wanted some sunflowers. So, I bought sunflowers in Arkansas, drove em 13 hours. I dropped em off to you and we had a really incredible day and then, I drove home 13 hours," he shared. (1:01)
