Tara Davis-Woodhall sent her father Ty Davis to watch the SEC Championship match between Georgia Bulldogs and Texas Longhorns on December 7. The match witnessed Georgia prevail over Texas with a thrilling 22-19 overtime victory.

Although Davis-Woodhall initially planned to attend the Bulldogs vs Longhorns game, she was unable to go and sent her father instead.

The long jumper shared multiple images and videos on her Instagram stories to show her father’s presence at the game. She first offered a glimpse of how happy her father Ty Davis was upon hearing the news that he would be attending the game.

The 25-year-old then posted an interesting fact about her life as she got emotional watching her father at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Georgia. She wrote:

“Oh, how his worlds collide. If you don’t know, I went to both universities but graduated from the University of Texas… him there 🥹”

Additionally, Ty shared a glimpse of the stadium’s atmosphere by uploading a reel on his Instagram handle. Davis-Woodhall reacted to this, writing:

“So fun!!!”

Tara Davis-Woodhall’s father shared heartfelt message after her Paris Olympics victory

Tara Davis-Woodhall’s father, Ty Davis, shared a heartfelt message after the long jumper became a 2024 Paris Olympics gold medalist. Via Instagram, he shared a touching post, captioning it:

“Olympic Champion!! Many have tried but only a few have succeeded. There were so many things I wanted to say to @_taarra_ while she was warming up to compete. Then I looked into her eyes and said to myself, 'I have seen that look before, it’s time to figure out who is getting second.'”

He added:

“We all have a little DOG in us but there only a few that know how to let that dog take over and eat!! Im proud as a dad proud as a coach and proud to be a mentor for greatness.”

Hunter Woodhall, Tara Davis-Woodhall’s husband, reacted to the heartfelt post by his father-in-law as he responded with heart emojis:

Notably, Ty and Hunter share a close bond, with Hunter frequently engaging with his father-in-law on Instagram posts.
