Tara Davis-Woodhall shared a glimpse of her new hairstyle after brushing out her natural afro-textured hair and getting wavy extensions from her hairstylist. Davis-Woodhall recently joined Kansas State University as an assistant track and field coach after successfully concluding her Paris Olympic campaign.

At the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, Davis-Woodhall jumped 6.84m to finish sixth in the finals, missing out on the podium by a small margin. She made up for her loss at the 2024 Paris Olympics, soaring to the long jump victory in 7.10m. Shortly after, she attended her husband's event at the Paris Paralympics and witnessed him win the 400m T62.

Midway through the Olympics, on August 2, 2024, the long jumper was announced as the new assistant track and field coach at the University of Kansas. Recently, the Woodhalls shifted to Kansas before embarking on their new journey.

Before that, Davis-Woodhall gave a peek into her hair journey in a hotel room, where she was seen brushing her afro-textured hair with a blow dryer and a wide brush. She then posed with her bouncy hair, ran her fingers through it, and let her hairstylist put on the extensions before she headed out in a car.

"I totally forgot to film that after but she slayed," she said while ending the clip.

A week ago, the long jumper posted a photo carousel of her recent life in Kansas. She posted a couple of selfies, a car ride with her husband Hunter Woodhall, a delectable plate of steak, a pair of street views, a black cat peeking from the top of a cat tree, and a ginger-colored poodle basking in the sun.

Tara Davis-Woodhall also posted K-State track and field athletes hyping themselves up.

In The Game podcast on News Radio KMAN's channel, Tara Davis-Woodhall expressed gratitude for her new career role and admitted having enough knowledge and experience to work toward success.

"I'm blessed to be able to, you know, be in these moments, you know, win Olympic gold. That's really crazy. But I think it's even, you know, more inspiring for myself to become a K-State coach; I feel like I have a lot of knowledge and experience," she said. [6:43]

The Director of Track and Field/Cross Country at Kansas State University, Travis Geopfert, who also coached the Texas native for the past three years, welcomed his tutee to the K-State team.
