Gymnasts Suni Lee and Hezly Rivera, along with track star Tara Davis-Woodhall and retired legend Allyson Felix, have recently reacted to Coco Gauff securing her career's second WTA 1000 title at the 2024 China Open. Gauff displayed a brilliant performance at the WTA 1000 tournament by defeating the unseeded Karolína Muchová in the final 6-1, 6-3.
Notably, this was Gauff’s second WTA Tour title of the season, having won the ASB Classic in New Zealand in January. With this, Gauff became the second American woman to win the China Open title after Serena Williams, who claimed victories in Beijing in 2004 and 2013.
After her sensational victory to take home a cash prize of $1,100,000, Gauff took to her Instagram to share multiple pictures of her with the China Open trophy.
In the comment section, she was congratulated by several top athletes, including two-time Olympic gold medalist, Suni Lee, who wrote:

Reigning long jump Olympic gold medalist Tara Davis-Woodhall joined in the comments, adding:

Another gymnast Hezly Rivera, who was a crucial member of the US women’s all-around gold-medal team at the Paris Olympics, also commented on the post. She wrote:

Coco Gauff reacts to Suni Lee expressing gratitude after winning fifth Olympic medal
Suni Lee overcame numerous challenges, including kidney issues and mental health struggles, to earn her spot on the USA women's gymnastics team for the Paris Olympics. After securing her spot, she went on to display her brilliance at the quadrennial games, where she helped the team in winning the gold and won a bronze in the individual all-around event.
Following her accomplishments in Paris, she expressed gratitude on her Instagram after winning her fifth medal, writing:
“This medal goes deeper than gymnastics. i can’t even begin to express how much my health has taken away from me & the strength it has taught me, so to be here is the greatest achievement of all. grateful for the opportunity to be able to represent team USA at my second olympic games!”
Reacting to this post, Coco Gauff wrote:

The next day, Suni Lee collected a bronze medal in the women’s uneven bars at the Paris Olympics, taking her total Olympic medal count to six.
