Team USA dominated the medal tally at the 2024 World Athletics Junior U20 Championships. The Championships that commenced on August 27, 2024, concluded on August 31, 2024.
The American squad collected a total of 16 medals, including eight gold, and four silver and bronze medals. The 2024 edition of the Championships was held at the Estadio Atlético de la Videna in Lima, Peru.
The US squad was followed by Ethiopia with 10 medals, including six gold and two silver and bronze medals. The Chinese squad settled in third place with a total of 11 medals with four gold and silver and three bronze medals. They were followed by Jamaica, Kenya, and South African squads with five, seven, and seven medals, respectively.

Team USA secured eight gold medals at the 2024 World Athletics Junior U20 Championships
Team USA claimed eight gold medals at the 2024 World Athletics Junior U20 Championships in Lima, Peru, including four in track and four in field events.
Ja'Kobe Tharp clinched a gold medal in the men's 110m hurdles after clocking a stunning time of 13.05 seconds. He defeated Andre Korbmacher and Yuangjiang Chen, who posted 13.14 and 13.21 seconds, respectively.
Vance Nilsson also claimed a gold medal in the men's 400m hurdles after clocking a world U20 lead of 49.26 seconds. He was followed by Michal Rada and Antti Sainio with 49.30 and 49.61 seconds, respectively. Molly Haywood dominated the women's pole vault after clearing a height of 4.47m.
The men's and women's 4x400m relay bagged gold medals after recording 3:03.56 and 3:30.74, respectively. While the women's squad defeated Australian and British teams, the USA men's team surpassed the South African and Australian squads.
