Simone Biles recently expressed frustration about her relationship with her husband Jonathan Owens being judged based on her athletic achievements. Biles and Owens exchanged their vows on April 22, 2023.

Biles has had an illustrious career with 11 Olympic and 30 world championship medals. Owens entered the NFL circuit in 2018 and has played for the Arizona Cardinals, Houston Texans, Green Bay Packers, and Chicago Bears.

Following their wedding, the couple navigated a long-distance relationship but were seen extending their support to each other with Biles attending several NFL games and Owens backing the legendary gymnast on her comeback.

However, the NFL safety received huge backlash after referring to himself as the "catch" in their relationship during "The Pivot Podcast." Owens has since then drawn considerable criticism from Biles' fans while the gymnast has steadfastly shown her support for her husband.

In the Netflix docuseries "Simone Biles Rising," the multiple-time Olympian stated that she finds it absurd that people equate her love life to her trophies and medals.

“Who’s going to go to somebody’s (social media) profile and say who you can and can’t love? That’s just ridiculous,” Biles said. “They equate our love to the amount of trophies and medals and accolades that I have, and that’s not how you measure love. That doesn’t equate to how much my husband loves me or likes me."

She added:

"Most of the time they don’t understand the mental toll that it takes, especially going into an Olympic year. I know we signed up to be judged in the gym but when you guys are going to talk about him or my family, yeah I’m gonna come at you guys." (Via Today.com)

With flag football poised to make a debut at the Games during the 2028 LA Olympics, Simone Biles shared her excitement about the possible appearance of Jonathan Owens in the next Quadrennial Games.

In an interview with USA Today.com, Biles shared her thoughts on Owens potentially competing at the 2028 Games, saying:

"I think it'd be very interesting. I think it'd be a lot of fun," Biles said. "I know that my husband and his teammates have talked a lot about it, if they're going to do it. But it's a lot of sacrifice. It's in the summer, right when they start training camp, so I know it'd be really tough on their body just because of how long their season is. But they're very excited about it, and they're enticed. So we'll see."

Simone Biles secured three gold and one silver medal at the 2024 Paris Olympics.
