For Biles, this marked her first competitive outing of the Olympic year. In her off-season, the World and Olympic champion made plenty of trips to the football field, as Owens competed in the NFL season with his previous team, the Green Bay Packers.

Now, it seems like the footballer is right there to return the favor, rooting for Biles as she competes for the first time since the 2023 World Championships in September last year. The Chicago Bears safety was vocal in his support for his wife, often giving standing ovations as she stuck her landings.

Meanwhile, Simone Biles was absolutely flawless in her routines at the U.S Core Hydration Classic. Despite it being her first time competing in nearly eight months, the reigning World Champion was absolutely dominant on the mat.

Biles stormed to the top of the podium in Hartford, defending her title in style. She scored a 59.500 to win the all-around, giving her a nearly two-point lead over silver-medalist Shilese Jones who scored a 57.650.

For Jonathan Owens, this was his first time watching Biles perform live, and he couldn't be happier. Taking to his Instagram stories after their win, he posted a picture of the gymnast posing with her fellow competitors, writing,

“So proud.”

Biles should be back in action soon enough, as she is expected to compete at the Xfinity US Gymnastics Championships. She will then compete at the U.S Olympic Trials as she bids to make it to her third consecutive Games.
