Lyles clinched his first Olympic gold medal at the 2024 Paris Games in the 100m event after a needle-point lead over Jamaica's Kishane Thompson. In what was a thrilling photo-finish Olympics 100m finals, Lyles claimed the victory after clocking a stunning 9.79(.784) seconds, 0.005 seconds lead over the Jamaican Thompson, who clocked 9.79(.789) seconds.

The American sprinter, who has never been shy to open up about his goals, declared that he would clinch the gold medals in the most anticipated 100m and 200m events, ahead of the Olympics. With one medal under his belt, Lyles' girlfriend confidently hinted that he would bag another gold medal in the 200m in Paris.

Bromfield, who was present to cheer for the American sprinter along with his mother, shared a heartwarming picture of them hugging after his victory and wrote,

"The double is alive ‼️❤️"

Lyles and Bromfield met during the 2020 Tokyo Olympics but only started dating in 2022. While Lyles is competing to represent the American squad, Bromfield is at the Paris Olympics to compete in the mixed 4x400m relay and 400m for Jamaica.

After the Jamaican squad settled in fifth place in the mixed 4x400m relay, Bromfield will be seen competing in the women's 400m on August 5, 2024.
