The live streaming of the 2024 World Championships contest between Jordan Burroughs and Mohammad Nokhodilarimi stopped midway through the match. This was the quarterfinal match of the 79kg bracket.
The 36-year-old started off his tournament quite well with consecutive victories against Zalimkhan Khadjiev and Magomet Evolev. He faced a defeat against Nokhodilarimi 6-4 in the quarters and had to wait for the latter's results to obtain a qualification in the repechage. The Iranian lost his contest in the semis leading to Burroughs' elimination from the tournament.
With the stoppage of live streaming during this crucial quarterfinal match, fans were left frustrated. They bashed the disappointing streaming quality of FloWrestling as some of the fans remarked that they missed Burrough's last professional contest due to the streaming service provider. One of the fans wrote:
"Does anyone know what’s happening with this Jordan Burroughs match? It has been frozen on flo for 10 minutes," a fan wrote.
"Lost internet at the venu in Albania. Place has a special sense for timing what can I tell you," stated another.
"We can watch sheep herding in New Zealand live on TV but can’t watch JB in the quarters at Worlds," another fan chimed in.
Here are a few other reactions:
"Jordan Burroughs and David Taylor potentially are in the last event of their career and flowrestling goes down….again….The definition of insanity:continuing to do the same thing expecting different results," wrote yet another fan.
"The irony of possibly missing Burroughs last career match due to a feed malfunction," wrote another fan.
