Tara Davis-Woodhall and her husband, American paralympic sprinter Hunter Woodhall, have punched their tickets to the 2024 Paris Olympics. The couple has expressed their excitement about heading to Paris and has garnered the attention of their fans by qualifying for the Summer Games.
The long-jump athlete had a very dramatic finish to her U.S. Olympic trials, having scratched the first two attempts and then securing three more tries by jumping 6.64m. The 25-year-old made sure to make the most of the secured chances and triumphed in the event with a jump of 7.00m (22 ft, 11 inches).
Her husband, Hunter Woodhall, also delivered an exceptional performance at the Paralympic trials. He broke the American record in the T62 100m prelims by clocking 10.75s and qualified with 10.78s in the finals of the event. Following this, he again surpassed the American record in the T62 400m finals by clocking 46.09s and booked a spot for himself in the Paris Olympics.
