Simone Biles recently opened up about how she and her team celebrated in a public place after they won the gold medal at the Paris Olympics. She won a total of four medals in her 2024 Summer Games journey, three golds and one silver.
The first gold medal for Biles and the team, which included Jordan Chiles, Hezly Rivera, Suni Lee, and Jade Carey, in Paris was in the team all-around final. The team scored a total of 171.296 and defeated Italy and Brazil, who registered 165.494 and 164.497, securing second and third place, respectively. Following the conclusion of the Paris Olympics, Biles launched the second edition of the Gold Over America Tour to celebrate all the gymnasts who competed in the Olympics.
Amidst the event, the 27-year-old gymnast, along with Chiles, was seen in an interview with Access Hollywood, where they opened up about being celebrated after their gold medal win. When asked about the memories from Paris that they will cherish forever, they recalled the celebration in a restaurant.
"I think honestly after Team final, we went to a restaurant across the street and it was just pure vibes like golden vibes," said Simone Biles. "We were celebrating, having a good time, the waitresses were on tables doing towels, it was just like absolutely insane. It was like a proper celebration and I feel like we all deserve that and we'll never forget that memory."
Amidst the tour, Biles showcased an adorable gesture towards her husband, Jonathan Owens, by getting a tattoo of his initials.

In the aforementioned interview, Biles also opened up about the reason behind getting a tattoo of Jonathan Owen's initial on her ring finger. She referred to it as a gesture of love and wanted to give him a "big surprise" with the tattoo.
Biles also added that even Owens has an 'S' on his finger, so to reciprocate the gesture, the gymnast got it too. She said,
"It's very sentimental and he also has an 'S' on his ring finger as just an ode to me," said Simone Biles. "He loves me so much and I love him and I knew that it would be such a big surprise. I actually called him the other day because we tattoed in Arizona after the show literally two days ago."
She added:
"I wanted to surprise him because he already got his and I kept telling him no I'm not doing it. So he actually woke up in the middle of the night and I had just landed in San Francisco and he was like "I am going to cry.""
The Gold Over America Tour is currently underway and is scheduled to be held on 23 September 2024, in Salt Lake City and on 25 September in Denver.
