Tara Davis-Woodhall posted a cheeky reaction to husband Hunter-Woodhall staring at her during their walk inside the University of Arkansas' football stadium. They are both fresh off winning gold medals at the 2024 Paris Olympics and Paralympics and were honored at the stadium for their success.
Tara and Hunter met at a track meet in 2017 and got married in 2022 after nearly five years of dating. They competed together at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics and Paralympics, and while only one of them, Hunter, won a medal in Tokyo, they both won a gold medal at the 2024 Games.
Tara secured her maiden Olympic medal in the women's long jump after recording a jump of 7.10m. Hunter won the men's 400m T62 title in Paris after clocking a blistering 46.36s in the final. He also won a bronze medal as part of the USA's mixed 4x100m relay team.
The couple recently attended a football game at the University of Arkansas and they were honored for their Olympic and Paralympic victories.
Following their visit, Tara reposted a photo of Hunter staring at her as they were taking in the applause on the field. She joked:
"They way he looks at me, you better not. We got the Olympics in 3 years."
The Woodhalls have been married for nearly two years, and as Tara said, they have played a vital role in each other's track and field success.
Tara Davis-Woodhall explained how she and husband Hunter Woodhall help each other in their athletic journey
While Tara Davis-Woodhall and Hunter Woodhall play different sports, they often train together and hype each other during practice. Explaining the importance of each other's roles, Tara told Olympics.com in September 2024:
"We have one thing on our mind and that's winning and being the best versions of ourselves. So when one of us isn't there, the other one hypes them up and holds them accountable of like, 'Hey, let's do this. Let's be there for each other and let's go to practice. This is just a bad day'. And when that's happening, it's like you can't do anything but succeed."
Recalling the moments before the finals, Hunter added:
"I think we just speak confidence into each other. We know how hard we've worked. We know we're prepared, so it's just telling each other, 'You can do it. You got this.'"
The couple moved to Kansas from Arkansas after the end of the 2024 track and field season. They announced the move after Tara was appointed as the assistant coach at the Kansas State University.
