American artistic gymnast Suni Lee has shared her experience at the Olympic Village ahead of the 2024 Paris Olympics. The Olympic Village, designed to accommodate delegations, will house over 14,000 athletes, staff, and other related members.
After arriving in Paris for the Olympic Games, the 2020 Tokyo Olympics all-around champion Lee and other USA artistic gymnasts also toured the Olympic village. The women’s gymnastics competitions, including team and individual events, are scheduled from July 27 to August 5, 2024.
Ahead of the gymnastics events at the 2024 Paris Olympics, team USA shared a video of the gymnasts, which featured Suni Lee and Jordan Chiles, who were captured during the Team USA Welcome Experience.
They captioned the post as:
“A second trip to the Olympic Games but an entirely new experience for Suni Lee”
In the video, Lee spoke about her incredible experience, stating:
“Oh my Gosh. This is crazy. I’m just so happy right now because we didn’t get to experience this last time. I cannot contain my happiness. I just can’t.”
Lee had also posted a video on her Tiktok where the USA gymnasts, including Simone Biles, Chiles, Hezly Rivera, and Leanne Wong among others, were having a fun time at the Olympic Village, shared by an X user.
Suni Lee and other gymnasts were not able to completely enjoy their stay at the Olympic Village during the last Olympics due to COVID-19 restrictions as the period required them to adhere to protocols and constantly wear masks since the outbreak had a significantly greater impact.
However, at the 2024 Paris Olympics, athletes are expected to have a more fulfilling experience as the situation has improved.
