"This year has been a dream" - Suni Lee pens a note of gratitude as she attends another fashion show after Olympic victory

Six-time Olympic medalist Suni Lee penned a heartfelt note after she attended the 2024 CFDA Fashion Awards. She was featured in the event just days after attending the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show.

The 21-year-old had a remarkable 2024 season where she marked her second successive Summer Games appearance and made history by reaching the podium in three out of the six events she competed in. She earned a gold medal in the team event, a bronze in the individual all-around, and became the first female gymnast of the United States to win two Olympic medals in the uneven bars apparatus.

Following her Paris Olympics exploits, Lee dove into a whole new fashion adventure where she attended events like the New York Fashion Week and Victoria's Secret Fashion Show. In addition, she also collaborated with her dream fashion brand Lululemon, the American-Canadian giant. Adding to her fashion endeavors, the Hmong-American even hinted at a potential future in the fashion industry, having designed her own leotards as well.

In a recent turn of events, Suni Lee added one more fashion event appearance to her resume after she attended the 2024 CFDA Fashion Awards, presented by Amazon Fashion at the American Museum of Natural History on Monday. The champion gymnast stunned in a black sheer-lace dress and shared a grateful note on her Instagram story about attending the event.

"The most amazing experience ever this year has been a dream & i'm so blessed to be in the rooms i'm in," she wrote in the caption of the story.

In a July 2024 interview, Suni Lee expressed her gratitude for the chance to explore and develop her own style and noted that her fashion philosophy revolves around self-expression.

"I have really enjoyed getting to experiment with my own style as I’ve gotten older. My philosophy when it comes to fashion is to enjoy it and use it as a form of self-expression," she said (via South China Morning Post).

She added:

"I stay as true to myself and my roots as possible. I want to inspire the younger generation to embrace their inner and outer beauty and celebrate their uniqueness and individuality. Everyone should feel confident in their own skin and do what makes them happy to feel good."

Suni Lee also graced the cover of Glamour magazine, where she was honored with the Woman of the Year for her success at the Paris Olympics.
