Tia Jones shares 6 highlights before New Year ft. cozy Christmas celebrations with Chiefs' Xavier Worthy

Tia Jones bid farewell to December 2024 as she shared a series of highlights from the month. Although the American hurdler remained largely out of racing competitions due to injuries last season, her life was full of memorable moments, including a romantic engagement ceremony with Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Xavier Worthy.

Jones hopped on the viral Instagram trend "6 pics before December Ends" on Tuesday and shared the highlights of her memorable month which largely included festive season celebrations.

The 24-year-old was pictured giving gifts to small children, sharing a kiss with Worthy, and attending the Kansas City Chiefs game in a custom outfit as an ode to her fiance. She also shared a picture of her private jet ride and home decorations.

Jones was in top form during the 2024 indoor season, clocking the second-fastest 60m hurdles time of 7.73s in history before an injury cut short her season. While she failed to qualify for the Paris Olympics, the two-time U20 world champion got engaged to Worthy in July, just a few months after making the relationship official at the NFL Draft.

The couple later bought a house together as well with Jones writing at the time:

Tia Jones makes her feelings known on competing in a race with her fiance Xavier Worthy

While Tia Jones is the second fastest 60m hurdler in history, Xavier Worthy is the fastest NFL player in history and holds the NFL combine record of 4.21s over the 40-yard distance. If the couple ever competes in a race, it's going to be a tight one. However, Jones feels she can't beat Worthy in a flat race.

Speaking during an appearance on the Pregame podcast with Tokyo and Sydnee in November, she said:

"He can't beat me in the hurdles but he sure gonna beat me on a flat run. I'm not racing him, absolutely not." [17:00]

The 24-year-old also revealed during the podcast that when Worthy had DM'ed her for the first time, she had ignored the request. However, the footballer was persistent in his efforts and managed to secure a date when she moved to Texas.
