Femke Bol spoke about competing against Sydney Mclaughlin-Levrone in Paris for the women's 400m hurdles crown in a press conference at the London Diamond League. The Dutch athlete expressed her excitement to race against the best at such a major event.

"It's really inspirational and motivational how she is racing, and seeing how much she is raising the bar....Because the moment you see someone do it, even though she is a really exceptional athlete, there is something you're headed to think, 'Maybe, I can also do it!', " she said.

Furthermore, she opened up on their relationship as both of them are sponsored by New Balance.

"We're friendly, and we're with the same sponsor. We both realize that the 400 m hurdles is not an easy event, and I have a lot of respect for her. I know how committed and hard-working she is. We don't see each other a lot, but we'll see each other in Paris," she added.

With Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone aiming to defend her Olympic title and Femke Bol in a quest for her first gold medal, the women's 400m hurdles is one of the most anticipated events of track and field at the quadrennial games in Paris.
