Femke Bol ended her tight schedule after setting the meet record at the Silesia Diamond League 2024. The Dutch athlete returned to the track in the Diamond Leagues after winning three medals at the Paris Olympics.
Despite a hectic schedule at the Paris Olympics, which included the women's 400m hurdles, mixed 4x400m relay, and the women's 4x400m relay, Femke Bol made back-to-back appearances in the Diamond Leagues. She won the women's 400m hurdles with a time of 52.25s at the Lausanne Diamond League 2024, setting the meet record.
A week later, she competed at the Silesia Diamond League 2024, winning the race with a formidable lead, and also set the new meet record with a time of 52.13s. Bol took to Instagram to share her thoughts about her victory and revealed that she would head home for a week after a race-packed month. Furthermore, she praised the electric atmosphere in the stadium at the Silesia Diamond League 2024.
"Had a lot of fun in Silesia 🤩 Happy to take the win in a new meet record in this amazing stadium ✨ Time for a week at home 🥰," Bol captioned the post.

Femke Bol concluded her Paris Olympics campaign with three medals- one gold, one silver, and one bronze. While the Dutch athlete could not put forward her best performance in her pet event - the 400m hurdles and expressed her disappointment, but expressed her gratitude for the opportunity to perform on such a big stage.
Taking to Instagram to express her thoughts about her Paris Olympics campaign, she wrote,
"Gave it my all, left my heart on the track. It’s not the race and result I came for and that hurts. However I’m proud of myself and my team for winning the second individual Olympic medal and for putting it all on the line to not have any regrets," she wrote.
She thanked her fans for their unwavering support throughout the Olympics.
"The stadium that turned orange during the final night was truly magical. Thank you to everyone who was there that night I felt soooo supported: before, during and after the race 🧡 And thank you to the amazing team of people I’m surrounded with, couldn’t do it without all of you ♥️," Bol added.
Despite a marginal setback in the women's 400m hurdles, the Paris Olympics was the most successful Olympic campaign in the career of the 24-year-old Dutch athlete so far.
