In March 2024, Olivia Dunne scored a 9.900 on the floor in the leadoff spot by tying her career high. Her performance helped LSU Gymnastics achieve a program-best road score of 198.425 to win the Podium Challenge.
About a month later, Dunne matched the score in the second round of the Fayetteville Regional as she contributed to the LSU Tigers’ reaching the finals. Filling in for Kiya Johnson in the anchor spot, Dunne was impressive as she secured 9.900 on her floor routine.
#4 LSU return for fifth and final year
After the LSU Tigers concluded the 2024 season, Olivia Dunne announced that she would return for her fifth and final year, thus concluding her collegiate career in 2025.
In the video announcement, the 22-year-old described why she decided to return to LSU driven by numerous factors including her love for the purple and yellow leotard, being a part of the team that scripted history, and the personal growth she has had due to the coaches’ guidance.

Olivia Dunne was a member of the LSU Tigers’ gymnastics team that scripted history by winning its first-ever NCAA Championships title in the 2024 edition. In the finals, the Tigers, with an overall score of 198.2250, was ahead of California (197.8500), Utah (197.8000), and Florida (197.4375).
Although Dunne didn’t compete in the semifinals and final of the 2024 NCAA Championship, she played an integral role. She was among the highest-paid college athletes in 2024 and boasted a massive fan following on TikTok (8.1M) and Instagram (5.4M).
