The American track and field team for the Paris Olympics has been announced and fans finally know the names that will represent the stars and stripes at the Games. Alongside the podium finishers of each event, three additional athletes have been chosen for the 4x100m and 4x400m relay each, giving those sprinters a chance to revive their Olympic dreams.

On the men's side, the gold, silver, and bronze medalists for the 100m were Noah Lyles, Kenny Bednarek, and Fred Kerley. Now, joining them for the relay will be Christian Coleman, Kyree King, and Courtney Lindsey.

When Coleman missed out on the podium, it was one of the biggest upsets of the USATF Trials, and many were disappointed at the 28-year-old losing out on the opportunity to make his individual Olympic debut. Now, the American has been named to the relay team, marking the second time he'll be competing in the event at the Games after 2016 Rio.

For King and Lindsey, their outing at the Paris Olympics will mark their debut at the Games. Both sprinters were part of the team that led the USA to gold at the World Athletics Relays earlier this year and will provide a strong boost to the team.

Elsewhere, the men's 400m winners at the USATF Olympic Trials were Quincy Hall, Michael Norman, and Chris Bailey. Now, joining them in the 4x400m relay will be Quincy Wilson, Bryce Deadmon, and Vernon Norwood.

With his inclusion on the team, 16-year-old sensation Wilson has become the youngest American male athlete to make it to the Games. After multiple record-breaking performances early in the season, the teen ran a 44.94 in the final of the 400m trials, his third-slowest race of the year, to finish sixth. Nevertheless, Wilson is now an Olympian.

Joining the youngsters in the relay squad for the Paris Olympics are Bryce Deadmon and Vernon Norwood. Both are seasoned athletes and were part of the team that brought home gold in the men's 4x400m and bronze in the mixed 4x400m from the Tokyo Games.

Meanwhile, the women's end of the U.S. Paris Olympics team will include two 100m specialists and four 400m specialists.

At the Trials, Sha'Carri Richardson, Melissa Jefferson, and Twanisha Terry were crowned the winners, ensuring Olympic debuts for all of them.

Now, of the six athletes named to the relay pool, Tamari Davis and Aleia Hobbs are the ones who look most likely to join. For Davis, this will mark her first time competing at the Games, while Hobbs is already an Olympic silver medalist in the 4x100m relay. Both of them are also World Champions in the event.

Meanwhile, the other four women named to the American relay squad for the Paris Olympics include Isabella Whittaker, Kaylyn Brown, Quanera Hayes, and Shamier Little.

Hayes and Little are the more expos, with the former being an Olympian and 4x400m World Champion, while the latter is a two-time World Championships silver-medalist in the 400m hurdles.

Meanwhile, youngster Whittaker is a 2024 First-Team All-America, and 19-year-old Brown is a World U-20 champion in the 4x40pm relay.
