U.S. Olympic Men's Soccer Team for Paris Olympics 2024 ft John Tolkin, Benjamin Cremasch

The U.S. Olympic Men's Soccer Team is heading to the Paris Olympics for the first time since it competed at the Olympic soccer tournament in 2008. The squad failed to qualify for the 2012, 2016, and 2020 Olympics but will return to upgrade its position from the ninth-place finish at the 2008 Beijing Olympics.

The 2024 Olympic roster will not feature the likes of top players, Christian Pulisic and Gio Reyna, who faced defeat at the 2024 Copa America. The roster will instead feature a squad of up-and-coming players like John Tolkin and Benjamin Cremasch, led by head coach Marko Mitrović.

Defenders: Maximilian Dietz (Greuther Furth/Germany), Nathan Harriel (Philadelphia Union), Miles Robinson (FC Cincinnati), John Tolkin (New York Red Bulls), Caleb Wiley (Atlanta United FC), Walker Zimmerman (Nashville SC)

Midfielders: Gianluca Busio (Venezia/Italy), Benjamin Cremaschi (Inter Miami CF), Jack McGlynn (Philadelphia Union), Djordje Mihailovic (Colorado Rapids), Tanner Tessmann (Venezia/Italy)

Forwards: Paxten Aaronson (FC Utrecht/ Netherlands), Taylor Booth (FC Utrecht/ Netherlands), Duncan McGuire (Orlando City SC), Kevin Paredes (Wolfsburg/Germany), Griffin Yow (KVC Westerio/Belgium)

Olympic soccer will predominately feature U23 players and only three overaged players are allowed on the team. The overaged players in the U.S. Olympic Men's Soccer Team are Walker Zimmerman, Djordje Mihailovic, and Miles Robinson.

Zimmerman, 31, has 42 international appearances and is coming fresh off his match against Canada at the CONCACAF Nations League Final in June 2023. Robinson, 27, was part of the 2024 Copa America with his team but didn't get any game time.

Mihailovic, 25, last played for the national team at the CONCACAF Gold Cup semifinal in July 2023. He will head to the Olympics with 11 international appearances in his repertoire.

The U.S. Olympic Men's Soccer Team have been drawn alongside France, New Zealand and Guinea in Paris 2024

The Americans will compete in Group A of the soccer tournament at the Paris Olympics. They have been drawn alongside hosts France, New Zealand and Guinea.

The U.S. Olympic men's soccer team will play their first match against the French at the Stade de Marseille in Marseille on July 24. They next face New Zealand at the very same venue on July 27.

The team will travel to Saint-Etienne for their final group fixture against Guinea on July 30. The Americans will have to finish in the top two of their group in order to qualify for the quarterfinals.
