U.S. Olympic Track and Field Trials Results: Gabby Thomas and Noah Lyles clinch Olympic spots in the 200m; Tara Davis-Woodhall impresses in long jump

The U.S. Olympic Track and Field Trials witnessed the two favorites of the 200m event, Gabby Thomas and Noah Lyles secure the Olympic spots after their impressive performances. Thomas clocked a stunning time of 21.81 seconds, leaving behind Brittany Brown and McKenzie Long.

Sha'Carri Richardson had to settle in the fourth place after facing a lane infringement warning. The 2023 World Champion Lyles, dominated the event with a world lead, registering a commendable time of 19.53 seconds, surpassing Kenny Bednarek and Erriyon Knighton, who clocked 19.59 and 19.77 seconds, respectively.

The 2024 U.S. Olympic Track and Field Trials will conclude on Sunday, June 30, with women's 400m hurdles being the last event.

Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone clocks a world lead in the 400m hurdles semifinals at the U.S. Olympic Track and Field Trials

Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone secured a spot to compete in the final round of the 400m hurdles after clocking a spectacular world lead of 52.48 seconds. The 24-year-old surpassed her previous world lead of 52.70 seconds, which she set at the 2024 Edwin Moses Legends Meet.

Tara Davis-Woodhall topped the long jump lineup with a remarkable jump of 7.00m. She defeated Jasmine Moore (6.98) and Monae' Nichols (6.86m). The results of the events held on Day 7 of the U.S. Olympic Track and Field Trials are given below.
