U.S. Olympic Track and Field Trials results: Sha'Carri Richardson clocks 2nd fastest 200m time of 2024, Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone reaches 400mH final

Day 5 of the U.S. Olympic Track and Field Trials witnessed Sha'Carri Richardson clocking the second-fastest 200m of the Olympic year in the heats. Richardson registered an impressive time of 21.99 seconds, grabbing a spot in the semifinal.

She defeated Gabby Thomas and Abby Steiner, who registered 22.11 and 22.29 seconds, respectively. Richardson's victory time stands second to McKenzie Long's 21.83 seconds in the women's 2024 fastest time list for the 200m event. 400m hurdles world record holder Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone kicked off her campaign in the discipline for the 2024 Paris Olympics on Thursday.

McLaughlin-Levrone posted a time of 53.07 seconds to surpass Anna Cockrell (54.71) and Shamier Little (54.93). She will be seen competing in the 400mh semifinal on Friday, June 28, 2024.

Noah Lyles cruises to the 200m semifinals at the 2024 U.S. Olympic Track and Field Trials

Noah Lyles clocked an impressive time of 20.10 seconds to advance to the semifinal round of the 200m in Eugene after defeating Erriyon Knighton and Courtney Lindsey. Grant Holloway recorded a sub-13 performance in the 110m hurdles to clinch a spot in the final round of the event.
