Day 5 of the U23 Wrestling World Championships 2024 witnessed the final bouts for a few categories of the women's section. The Championships commenced on October 21, 2024.
At the U23 Wrestling World Championships, the Tirana Olympic Park in Tirana, Albania, is hosting all the bouts. The Championships, which kicked off on Monday, will conclude on Sunday, October 27, 2024.
A total of 650 wrestlers are competing against each other in the three events, freestyle, greco-roman, and women's wrestling. The first two categories have 240 wrestlers locking horns against each other in each category while women's wrestling features 184 wrestlers.
Day 5 of the championships witnessed the duels in the women's wrestling in multiple categories, including 53kg, 57kg, 62kg, 65kg, and 72kg. Day 6 and 7 will feature the final events for the men's freestyle wrestling categories, including 57kg, 61kg, 65kg, 70kg, 74kg, 79kg, 86kg, 92kg, 97kg, and 125kg.

U23 Wrestling World Championships 2024 Results for Women's Category
Japan's Yu Sakamoto displayed a stunning performance after defeating Canada's Serena Benedetto with a victory over fall 11-0, clinching a decisive lead in the 53kg women's wrestling on Day 5 of the U23 Wrestling World Championships 2024. Otgontuya Chinbold and Anastasia Blayvas collected bronze medals after defeating Xiomin Xie and Zeinep Bayanova with 10-8 and 10-2, respectively.
The 65kg women's wrestling category was excelled by Moldovan wrestler Irina Ringaci after pinning America's Macey Ellen Kilty by victory over points of 10-3. Shiksha and Kateryna Zelenykh bagged the bronze medals after overpowering Rin Teramoto and Karolina POK.
America's Kylie Welker dominated the 72kg category after defeating Vianne Rouleau. The results of the women's category event at the 2024 U23 Wrestling World Championships on Day 5 are as follows:
