USA Gymnastics therapy dog, Beacon, has returned home after being hospitalized following a health scare. The beloved canine, who provides emotional support to the USA Gymnastics team athletes was rushed to the hospital recently, leaving the community concerned.
Beacon returned home after surgery and a hospital stay. The USA Gymnastics therapy dog was treated for a high fever and pleural effusion, a condition where excess fluid accumulates between the lungs and the chest wall.
He was hospitalized at an emergency pet hospital by his owner Tracey Callahan Molnar after noticing symptoms like stiffness, labored breathing, and a fever on September 3, 2024. On September 12, 2024, after the diagnosis Molnar provided a health update, revealing that the tests showed no signs of cancer in his lung tissues.
The ball of fur became the fan-favorite during the 2024 U.S. Gymnastics Trials held in June at the Target Center in Minneapolis, for the support he provided to athletes like Suni Lee and Simone Biles. However, his absence was marked at the French capital due to logistical issues.
The "Goodest Boy's" social media profile announced the dog's return from the hospital, giving updates on his improving health.

USA Gymnastics women's team secured the gold medal in the team event at the Paris Olympics to surpass the silver medal victory at the Tokyo Games

The 2024 USA Gymnastics team, including Simone Biles, Jade Carey, Jordan Chiles, Suni Lee, and Hezly Rivera clinched a gold medal in the women's team event at the Paris Olympic Games.
The American squad bagged 171.296 points to surpass the Italian and Brazilian squads, who scored 165.494 and 164.497 points, respectively. The victory marked a special significance for the American team after securing a silver medal in the event at the Tokyo Games when they were placed behind the ROC team.
At the Paris Games, Biles and Chiles competed in all the apparatus with the squad collecting 44.100, 43.332, 41.699, and 42.165 on vault, uneven bars, balance beam, and floor exercise events, respectively.
