Usain Bolt on giving back to the community
Usain Bolt achieved monumental success on the track over the course of four Olympic Games spanning over two decades. The Jamaican athlete stood out as an inspiration for a lot of upcoming athletes and has used his platform to propagate a positive message to society.
In an attempt to give back to the community as well as to help the Jamaican Children he started the Usain Bolt Foundation. After a donation drive of 150 laptops to schools in rural Jamaica, he spoke about the importance of giving back to the community and said:
“The best thing about my life is being able to give back, especially to the children. The current global pandemic has forced many children to do only online classes and highlights the need for technology in schools. We will keep working to provide much needed equipment and support the education of the next generation.” (as quoted by the voice)
The legendary athlete's foundation focuses on uplifting as well as helping children at the primary school level to pave the way for a better future.
