Usain Bolt captured his daughter Olympia Lightning Bolt jumping non-stop on the couch, highlighting the latter's energy levels crossing "1000". Bolt has three children, his eldest daughter Olympia, and twin sons, Thunder and Saint Leo Bolt.
Bolt, the world record holder in the 100m and 200m, boasted an exceptional track and field career. With eight Olympic and 11 World Championship gold medals, he called time on his career in 2017 after successfully defending his 100m and 200m Olympic titles at the 2016 Rio Summer Games. Besides making a name for himself in the sporting domain, Bolt has invested in his love life with Kasi Bennett since 2013.
The Olympian and his girlfriend Bennett share three children, Olympia Lightning, Thunder, and Saint Leo Bolt. The soon-to-be five-year-old daughter of the couple often features in their social media posts, adding flavour to the pictures with her goofy nature.
On January 14, 2025, Bolt took to his Instagram story to share a video of his daughter jumping on the couch and running to the laptop to start and stop the music. His caption read:
"Energy level 1000 she been doing this for the past 20 mins"
In an interview with supermodel Naomi Campbell on her show 'No Filter with Naomi' in 2021, Bolt shared how his patience grew after his daughter graced his life, being a father made him consider track coaching which he otherwise deterred after retirement.
“Now that I've had my daughter, I've got more patience now and I’m just being more relaxed. So now I'm actually thinking maybe I could be a coach and it's just a matter of time."
Usain Bolt and Bennett haven't tied the nuptial knot since the former wished to follow in the footsteps of his parents who married after 10 years of dating. (via People)
Usain Bolt once shared that raising kids was tougher than competing at the Olympics
Bolt, widely regarded as the fastest man in the world, whose world record still stands, once said that parenthood was more taxing than running on the track. In an interview with People in 2021, he said:
"[It's harder] being a father of three, of all of them, especially when they're crying. It's great, but everybody's crying. It's pandemonium in the house."
Speaking about the change of schedule after his twin sons' birth, he said:
"It's a lot more time consuming, but I enjoy it. It's always a challenge, and now I've had help from my parents and my significant other's parents also. So, it's not as crazy, but I'm enjoying it. I'm looking forward to them just growing up and just having fun."
Usain Bolt has four Laureus World Sportsman of the Year awards, and three BBC Overseas Sports Personality of the Year honors in his cabinet, among others.
